If you don’t, then who will?

Easy ways to simplify and go green in your home

Women have the weight of the world on their shoulders somedays. I went to see “I Don’t Know HOW She Does It” last weekend. Drug my poor hubby to see it! It’s a good thing he is okay with chick flicks! (He’s a good man!) It was a good movie, with lots of scenes I could relate to. (If you would like to read an interesting take on the working mom guilt aspect, MommyShorts wrote a great post!)

One of the early scenes that I can REALLY relate to is the LISTS! Kate can’t sleep at night because she is [...]

tired woman drinking coffee

With everything that we as women have to take care of, we need all the energy boosting we can get. And it doesn’t need to come in the form of lattes of Red Bull or even 5 Hour Energy shots. And please, for the sake of your heart, stay away from Monsters and espresso double shots!

fruits and veggies

Two weeks ago I posted about an eating regimen that my husband and I were embarking on. I would love to tell you that we have lost 20+ pounds each, but that is not the case.

We are now 3 weeks into this regimen. We are not a TV show or documentary. We have definitely had our ups and downs.

During our 5 days of just juice, we found it fairly easy. We ran into a bit of a snag when we had an event to go to. It was a blogger’s event sponsored by, of all things, 3 [...]

Reducing clutter to reduce stress

messy living room

In our busy world, we have too much.

Too much of a lot of things.

Too much to think about.

Too much to do.

Too many belongings to keep up with.

Too many belongings to maintain.

To reduce your stress level, to truly simplify your life, you need to reduce the amount of clutter in your life.

Reducing your belongings

Start with attacking unnecessary stuff in your main living area. Use a trash bag, liberally. Work quickly. The faster you work, the easier it becomes. If you start having to deliberate, it slows the process down. [...]

Eating for more energy and better health

Fat Sick and Nearly Dead

I am like most American women. My health has not been the greatest. I struggle with headaches, aches and pains. I am least 40 pounds overweight. I have been on medication for depression and anxiety in the past.  I have a feeling that a good number of you suffer with many of the same issues, as well as other not so pleasant illnesses and issues.

My husband and I have tried more than a several times to lose weight using different plans or tactics, sometimes with some success, although not long-lasting. My dear hubby needs to lose at least 55-60 [...]
