Although I have already written about it here (see: Teaching children to do their fair share around the house), when this infographic was sent to me, I just had to share it with my readers. Some good stuff on here.

When I was a kid, my mom cooked every meal for us. Well, she put together every meal for us. Convenience foods were newish and all the rage in the 60s and 70s. Nobody realized just how “not good” that stuff was for you.
Learning to cook
Fast forward to when I got married (VERY VERY young). We lived with my mother-in-law, and she began to teach me to cook a few things a little more from scratch.
For instance, I learned you could actually make hamburger patties yourself, without coming from a box. And that spaghetti sauce is much [...]
I hear from readers every day who thank me for what I write. They are overwhelmed, they are depressed. They need a word of encouragement, they need to know they are not alone.
Many of us feel overwhelmed at times. Sometimes it may be a temporary situation, a crazy busy weekend. Or it may be that you are caring for a chronically ill family member. Maybe you are on bedrest for the remainder of a pregnancy. Maybe your husband left you and you feel alone and overwhelmed.

The days of summer are quickly coming upon us and I am reminded of catching fireflies and running through the neighborhood playing hide-and-go-seek in the dark as a kid.

This was a real issue when I moved into my apartment earlier this year. The side of the curtain kept pulling away and letting the light in WAY too early. I found a tip on Pinterest to fix this!
Take one of your ring clips and turn it around the corner so that it’s hanging on the bracket rather than [...]
Our lives as moms can be SO busy. We don’t know whether we are coming or going a lot of the time. This can make it difficult to carve out time to truly clean our house. Eventually we will have to deep clean, but I wanted to share with you what you can accomplish even if you JUST have 5 minutes. While you are waiting on a kid to get ready, or the water to boil, try doing one of these below:
Five minutes isn’t a lot of time but if you’re efficient you can get a lot done. [...]
I was blown away when I actually tried today’s tip! I could’ve saved myself so much frustration if I’d known this when I moved into my first place (and 2nd and 3rd….)
